Back Pain & Physiotherapy
An accurate diagnosis is essential
It is so important that from the outset, we work out the nature and cause of your back pain. At your initial assessment consultation, our goal is to establish what is causing your back pain. We will then map out a management plan with you.
Specifically tailored exercise programs are needed
The evidence shows that back pain is best managed with exercise programs that are specifically tailored to the individual. Our physiotherapists have the skill to provide you with this help. We also know that group classes where everyone is following the same exercises, are totally ineffective for managing low back pain.
Acute low back pain
If you have been experiencing back pain for less than three months, then your pain is acute. Our physios will be able to quickly diagnose and treat your condition with evidence-based hands on treatment. If you have pain that is relatively recent in onset (less than three months), it will be best managed with hands on physiotherapy.
Chronic low back pain
If you have had low back pain for longer than three months, it is termed chronic. Did you know that in Australia, 20% of patients with back pain have pain that is chronic? Yet 80% of health care expenditure is on managing chronic low back pain? So you want to get it right from the word go.
Our physiotherapists at Complete Wellness Physiotherapy are up to date with the current understanding and treatment strategies to help you overcome your back pain and return you to pain free full function quickly and effectively.
