Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy aims to ease pain & optimise performance
Physiotherapists are experts in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal pain, conditions and injuries. Physiotherapy can help you overcome pain, conditions or injury which may be due to a range of muscular, joint or nerve related issues. Physiotherapists have a detailed understanding of the mechanism and cause of pain, how to diagnose conditions and how to treat them. We work with patients to arrive at a treatment program that will work for their individual needs, lifestyle and other factors.

What to expect in physiotherapy
1. Comprehensive assessment
A comprehensive assessment consultation will be the starting point with your physiotherapist. The aim will be to determine the cause of your problem, as opposed to simply managing your symptoms. This assessment will involve a process of taking your history, a thorough physical assessment and looking at the way you move and function.
2. Diagnosis & individual treatment plan
Your physiotherapist will arrive at a diagnosis, and through consultation with you, develop an individual treatment plan. Your treatment options will be fully outlined to you at this stage, so that you have a clear idea of the process involved to get you better. We will seek to determine your goals and what you aim to achieve and we will go out of our way to help you meet your goals and expectations.
3. Hands on treatment combined with a targeted exercise program
At your following sessions we will use hands on treatment to get you moving well. We will teach you the most effective exercise program to help you manage your condition effectively in between sessions. We will provide you with the best strategies to ensure that your condition not only gets better, but also stays better.
